This summer, three missionaries supported by The Michigan Conference will be featured in the General Board of Global Ministry’s #StillInMission series. #StillInMission is a monthly Zoom event highlighting United Methodist missionaries, their call to mission, and the communities they serve alongside.
Featured missionaries share about how they are engaged in God’s work of justice, mercy, and love, and answer questions from online audience members. Michigan United Methodists have the unique opportunity to connect with three EngageMI missionaries in this summer’s interactive storytelling events.
Cenaya Ward-Johns
Cenaya will be featured in the July 7 #StillInMission episode. She is a Global Mission Fellow US-2 serving here in Michigan at the Kalamazoo Wesley Foundation. There, she works as the resident director of the ministry’s young adult intentional living community. Rev. Charles Mulemena
Charles, an Engage MI missionary serving in Belize and Honduras, will be featured on August 4. Charles serves as a pastor and trainer for the MCCA Belize-Honduras District, where he offers pastoral leadership training and support.

Jane Kies
Jane will be featured in the September 1 episode of #StillInMission. Jane serves as an intensive English teacher at Africa University, the United Methodist university in Mutare, Zimbabwe. Jane and her husband, Larry, have served at Africa University for twenty years.
