James W. Boehm

September 1, 1935 – June 15, 2025

Rev. James Walter Boehm, of Carson City and formerly of Benzie County, passed away on June 15, 2025. James was a retired elder of the Michigan Conference who served at Gobles, Kendall, Newaygo, Plainwell: First, Kalamazoo as a District Superintendent, and Okemos Community Church before retiring in 1998.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Frankfort United Methodist Church, 537 Crystal Ave., Frankfort, MI. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.

A full obituary will be published at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Jowett Funeral Home. Condolences can be shared online at Jowett Funeral Home.

Director of Worship – Wesley Park UMC

Wesley Park Church is looking for a Director of Worship to help curate meaningful worship experiences and help people grow in Christ through serving in worship arts and technical ministry.

Wesley Park is an United Methodist congregation in Wyoming, MI. The church has inspired its community for 70 years. Recently welcoming a new pastor, Wesley Park is experiencing a time of growth and missional alignment.

The Director of Worship is the spiritual and organizational leader responsible for working alongside the lead pastor to create engaging worship experiences that allow people to grow in their discipleship to Christ. They are also responsible for recruiting, training, and leading individuals to utilize their gifts and talents in all aspects of worship and technical worship support. They will succeed in this role by being adaptive, implementing innovative approaches, and ensuring a spiritually formative environment for all involved.
