The churches of The Michigan Area are invited to participate in UMCH Sunday, September 25, 2016.
United Methodist Community House (UMCH) serves as a National Mission Institute with a covenant relationship with the United Methodist Women National Office.
UMCH is a non-profit agency with a mission to increase the ability of children, youth, adults and families to succeed in a diverse community.
Meeting the unmet, basic needs of the urban core of Grand Rapids is at the heart of UMCH’s mission.
On Sunday, September 25, 2016 United Methodist Community House is partnering with United Methodist Women in an international day of prayer for this vital ministry to the southeast corner of the city. They invite all Michigan Area churches to join in this day by offering a number of ways to participate in this effort.
- SHARE this 4.23 minute video that tells the story of ministries to children, youth and seniors.
- PRAY for the neighborhoods served by UMCH, their volunteers and supporters, and the agency’s leadership and employees.
- INVITE a UMCH representative to visit your church and speak about the mission. Learn how to lend time, talent and/or treasure to their efforts.
- DESIGNATE an offering to support UMCH programs and services.
