Registration opened August 2 for this event featuring awesome worship, inspiring speakers, fun and meaningful workshops, good food and great fellowship.
Youth in 6th-12th grade are welcome with their youth group and youth workers. Registration includes lunch and dinner Saturday, snacks, t-shirt, and materials.
- Early-bird registration is $40/person; deadline is September 15.

- On-Site (if there is space) $60/person
Workshops will include: Mission and Service, Conference Choir, Bible Study, Creative Writing, Youth Group Games, Following the Call, Faith After High School, and more! There will also be workshops for Youth Workers!
Youth Workers are asked to meet Child Protection ratios of adults and students in their own group. Each group is responsible for their lodging (options will be provided) and transportation. The conference will end late Saturday evening.
Special speaker is Mark Sheets, Lead Pastor of Good Shepherd UMC in Kansas City, MO. Mark is passionate about youth ministry and loves to help young people experience the love of God. Worship leader is Caleb Williams, Minister of Worship and Creative Arts at Royal Oak First UMC in Royal Oak, MI.
Opening Worship will start at 7pm on Friday, November 10th. Saturday will include speakers, workshops, lunch, dinner, hangout time, worship, and a closing concert (finishing around 10pm).
Connection ’17 is a Michigan Area United Methodist Youth Event coordinated by Bridget Nelson, director of Michigan Area Youth and Young Adults.
