Service Update:
Rev. Dr. Anthony Shipley’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th at Hope UMC, 26275 Northwestern Hwy, Southfield, MI 48076. Family hour is from 10:30 to 11:00 AM and the memorial service begins at 11am for family only. The family hour is the only time where friends can visit the family to maintain compliance with current COVID-19 executive orders.
Condolence cards and flowers are appreciated. Flowers can be sent to Hope UMC. Cards may be mailed to Mrs. Gwen Shipley & Family at 23711 Clarkson, Southfield, MI 48033.

The Rev. Dr. Anthony J. Shipley, went to be with his Lord on April 1, 2020 at the age of 80. Anthony was a Retired Elder of the Michigan Conference who served first in the New York Conference before transferring to the Michigan Conference where he served as a Program Director; Detroit West District Superintendent; Detroit: Scott Memorial; Deputy General Secretary, National Division, General Board of Global Ministries; Eastside Covenant Cooperative Parish: Detroit: Christ. Anthony retired in 2007.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic the memorial service has been postponed until the ban has been lifted and arrangements can be secured. The family requests to please hold sending flowers until the memorial service has been announced so they can go to the memorial service.
