Mary Ann Peters, 80, of Lansing (formerly of Potterville) died Sunday, February 1, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Thomas Peters in 2008. Mary Ann worked alongside her husband’s ministry at the following congregations in the West Michigan Conference: Camden 1953]; Sturgis (Assoc.) 1960; Wacousta Nov. 1, 1964; Potterville/West Benton/Dimondale 1967; Sabbatical leave 1970; Honorable Location 1971; Bath (1/2 time) 1981; Bath/Gunnisonville Jan. 1, 1991; Retired 1993; Dimondale (DSA) 2004-2005; Pleasant Lake (DSA) Oct. 1, 2007.
Memorial services are planned for Saturday, March 14, 11:00 AM at the Potterville United Methodist Church, 105 N Church Street, Potterville, MI. Arrangements are being handled by Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, MI.
If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to Carl’s Closet a collection taken on behalf Mott’s Children’s Hospital (734-232-5631) in memory of Baby Carl Desoltell who died in 2013. Baby Carl was Mary Ann Peter’s great-grandson as well as the son of Detroit Conference clergy, Rev. Briony Desoltell of Ypsilanti First.
