Lay Buddies Team assists AC2022 laity

Buddies will help with questions of legislation

Four Lay Buddies from the Conference Board of Laity are ready to assist new and experienced lay members to AC 2022 both before and during the session that begins June 2.

Conference Lay Leader Annette Erbes announces that the Board of Laity (BOL) is supporting lay members as they prepare for the 2022 Michigan Annual Conference. After two years online, the conference will be held in person at the Grand Traverse Resort, June 2-4. Legislative committee work will continue to be done virtually, May 24, 25, 26.

Lay members are encouraged to take advantage of a virtual orientation session and personal guides, who have been recruited for service this year.

Laity Orientation Sessions will be held virtually to help lay members get ready for the annual conference. Save these dates now and look for registration information soon to come. The sessions are identical; choose the one that fits your schedule:

  • Saturday, April 30th from 9:00-10:00 am or
  • Thursday, May 19th from 7:30-8:30 pm

The Lay Buddies Team of the BOL is available for those wishing they had a “buddy” attending annual conference. Erbes explains, “Members of the Board of Laity may be called upon before or during annual conference to offer a friendly smile, support, guidance, or just point in the right direction to answer your questions.”

These BOL Lay Buddies Team members are ready to respond to both new and experienced members of the annual conference:
