The Michigan Conference is helping people across the state to find your church’s online worship during Holy Week. Now is the time to make sure the link to your virtual events is on the campaign listing.
With most local churches finding it necessary to offer Holy Week services online, the Michigan Conference will be launching a social media campaign called “Spend Easter at our house!”
The campaign will run Palm Sunday through Easter Sunday. Targeted Facebook ads in 11 state-wide media markets will guide Michiganders to a conference webpage where local congregations’ online Lenten services are linked by city.
Now is the time to confirm your local church is listed and that a link is provided to access online worship services.
Please take a moment to check that your local church is listed correctly by clicking here. If your link is on the list, you are ready to receive new guests during Holy Week. If your link is not listed or needs updating, contact conference communications. Please understand, this is not a listing of specific worship dates, times, and details. It is a way to begin the connection between a seeker and your church by offering the link to your virtual services and an email where seekers can learn more.
The Michigan Conference has made Holy Week worship services available on the Lenten Resources page. These include
- a Holy Week greeting by Bishop Bard (see below)
- a Maundy Thursday Service led by Bishop Bard with assistance from Charity Ben and Parker Garman
- a Good Friday Service led by the Rev. Julie Liske with assistance from Raj Wiener, Jay Makowski, and Eric Strand
- a Children’s Easter Message shared by the Rev. Kathy Pittenger
