The countdown clock to AC 2021 continues. Here are some important reminders for all conference members and those wishing to join by livestream when the action starts on June 3.
The days continue to count down to the 2021 Virtual Michigan Annual Conference. Here’s some important news for conference members and all United Methodists across the state.
If you are a voting member of AC 2021, please remember that you must register for Zoom conferencing. This is in addition to your initial registration for the event. Members received an email May 12 that includes the Zoom registration for their personalized Zoom webinar link. Members MUST complete that registration no later than May 21 to be able to participate in the sessions. Members also received Legislative Committee assignments on May 12 in a separate email. Members are asked to watch a tutorial on using Zoom during Annual Conference. Director of Communications Mark Doyal will also hold a live training session on Monday, May 31 at 7:00pm where specific questions can be answered. Registration for that Zoom training event is required.
This year AC 2021 worship can extend into each local church in The Michigan Conference. A full worship service featuring our guest preacher, the Rev. Dr. Cynthia A. Wilson, is available by link or download. Pastors and worship planners are invited to share this service with their congregation on Sunday, June 6. Livestream of the public sessions of AC 2021 will be available for all to view on the event website 2021.michiganumc.org or Conference Facebook page. Using that link, livestreams are available to viewers on Facebook with or without a personal Facebook account. Find a basic conference schedule here.
Subscribers to MIconnect and mifaith will receive Daily AC News emailed at 8am on Thursday, June 3 — Sunday, June 6. There will be no regular editions of MIconnect (June 2) or mifaith (June 4) during the week of AC 2021.
