In this month’s reflection on The United Methodist Social Principles, Rev. Dr. Chris Momany takes a new look at “personalism.”
“A holiness personalism might help us move beyond the fractious language of ‘liberal’ and ‘conservative’ – at least in spirit,” Momany states.
He asserts that faith can never be “a private possession.” “The same love has been offered each and every human being,” Momany concludes. “I better keep that in mind when I interact with others.”
Chris Momany, an ordained United Methodist minister, has been chaplain and director of church relations at Adrian College since 1996 and has taught in the Department of Philosophy/Religion since 1998.
