Meet our Michigan missionaries

Missionaries now in Belize

EngageMI ministry partners from Africa and Wisconsin invite you to join them in virtual settings in April. Learn about how these missionaries of The United Methodist Church change lives.

Missionaries online

Despite the pandemic, United Methodist missionaries remain deeply engaged in work around the world. Normally, a number of them “itinerate” each year to visit the churches and individuals that support them in ministry. COVID-19 has put a stop to most travel but that doesn’t mean the missionaries aren’t available to meet virtually! Each month, the General Board of Global Ministries invites four missionaries to be in conversation with laity and clergy throughout the church to share the joys and challenges they’ve experienced. You can join them on Zoom on Thursday, April 1, at 12:00 noon EDT

This month’s missionaries include two EngageMI ministry partners.

Paul Webster, Mission Advocate (Global Ministries) – United States (EngageMI partner). After serving in Zambia for many years as a specialist in rural economic development, Paul now is a Mission Advocate from his home in Wisconsin.

Princess Jusu, Instructor at the UMC Women’s Training Center in Monrovia, Liberia (EngageMI partner). She teaches tailoring, tie-dying, knitting, and home economics for women and girls. Princess also assists with the village health outreach program for women.

Trisha Manns, Mission Advocate for Young Adults (Global Ministries) – United States

Vincent Yohanna, Lab Scientist Fellow at Ganta United Methodist Station in Liberia

The next #StillinMission conversation, scheduled for April 29, 12:00 noon EDT, features Engage MI ministry partners Nkemba Ndjungu and Mbwizu Ndjungu. The couple serves the Methodist Church of Central America. The Ndjungus are International missionaries from the DR Congo now serving in Belize.
