The Crossroads District is launching a series of Community Conversations about the Flint Water crisis starting June 14.
Peter Plum, Emergency Water Crisis Coordinator for the Crossroads District, introduces an opportunity for the public and state officials to interact and share valuable knowledge.
The first conversation will take place at Bethel United Methodist Church, 1309 N. Ballenger Hwy., Flint on Tuesday, June 14, 6-8 p.m.
These officials have been invited to participate:
- Rev. Bryce Feighner, Michigan Department of Environmental Quality
- Dr. Eden Wells, Chief Medical Executive of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services
- Richard Baird, Senior Advisor to the Governor’s Office
- Mark Durno and Diane Russel, Environmental Protection Agency
These persons offer a direct line of communication to Flint residents. These issues will be addressed: water testing; Governor Snyder’s long-term vision; status report on pipes and infrastructure; and the latest health recommendations.
Use this flyer to promote this community-based event. All are welcome to take part in the conversation.
The next event will be hosted at Calvary United Methodist Church; date to be announced.
