52 clergywomen share experiences of sexual harassment and practical suggestions for improved behavior.
“We need to hear from clergywomen about their experiences to better know our own failures and integrate their affirmations of what to do differently,” says the Rev. Jeremy Smith.
Smith is the Senior Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Seattle, Washington and author of the blog, “Hacking Christianity.”
Last fall he conducted a survey of clergywomen. After light editing and compilation, Smith presents a narrative that includes not only the women’s experiences but “recommended actions to keep them from happening in your congregation.”
