Goodbye to 11 Fuller Nov. 29, 2017

Friends of the United Methodist Conference Center are invited to a decommissioning service led by Bishop David Bard at the facility on 11 Fuller SE in Grand Rapids MI, on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 10 am.

Various moves out of the Conference Center are in progress as part of the transition to becoming the new Michigan Conference.

The United Methodist Foundation has moved to their new site on the Beltline, north of I-96. In December the Treasurer’s Office will relocate to the offices in Clark Corners in Lansing. Also in December, the Grand Rapids District and the Connectional Ministries Office will relocate to space it is leasing at First Place, 127 Fulton St. Grand Rapids, next to First United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Benton R. Heisler, West Michigan Conference Director of Connectional Ministries, invites former employees, leaders and volunteers who have been employed or served by this facility to share in this occasion.

The Bishop will lead a brief service of decommissioning and then all will share in conversation of memories, laughter and light refreshments.

Please note that this will be a stand-up event; there are very few chairs remaining in the building.

Those able to celebrate from a distance through prayer, are invited to write a brief note that will be shared or posted for others to read.

“Thank you for your service in the ministry that was facilitated by this space at the corner of yesterday and tomorrow,” Heisler remarked.
