Your Giving Tuesday gifts to Michigan Area United Methodist Camping will be doubled.
Rev. George Ayoub, Executive Director of Michigan Area United Methodist Camping, reports that nearly 2,000 campers and thousands of retreat participants visited Michigan’s nine campsites in 2017.
“You sent your campers to us (or attended yourself), trusting that God would be at work in their lives through the power of camp,” Ayoub said. “We hear it from campers, moms, dads, and pastors: ‘God’s love is magnified at camp.’”
Now individuals and churches have the opportunity to grow this life-changing ministry.
Bulletin inserts are available that promote “Giving Tuesday Week.” Donations , up to $30,000, given from November 28 through December 5 will be matched.
“Will you donate $25 or more to help us share the love of Jesus Christ through camp?” Ayoub asks. “Can you become a leadership giver, with the gift of $1,000 or more? Will you ask others to join you?”
Double dollars are needed as campers and families have asked for various improvements in facilities. The Camp Board of Directors will be investing Giving Tuesday Week contributions in the following ways:
Facility upgrades
Wesley Woods: Remodel bath house on “the hill,” improved pool filtration system.
Judson Collins: Remodel bath house.
