Gifts without boxes

Still looking for that last-minute gift for the person who has everything? Give hope.
The General Board of Global Ministries offers a Christmas Catalog of a different kind … Gifts of Hope.

Gifts of Hope will be put to work exactly how the donor wishes, changing lives for the better. Gifts of Hope may be made on behalf of friends and family members.

Gifts of Hope support Emergency Relief:

  • $25 can purchase protective gloves and dust masks for those who clean up after a disaster;
  • $50 can purchase a tarp to protect a home from additional damage caused by a storm;
  • $100 can provide physical and psychological care to a survivor in the aftermath of a disaster;
  • $200 can provide one water purification system to survivors of an earthquake, ensuring safe, clean drinking water.

Gifts of Hope support the work of Missionaries:

  • $25 can provide evangelization resources for leaders in Bolivia;
  • $50 can provide free Bibles for Christians in China, in their own language;
  • $100 can offset the cost of two weeks of language school for a Young Adult Missionary.
  • $100 can train a faith leader to lead a new congregation in Central Asia;
  • $250 can provide a literacy and job skills training class so that young people in Laos gain employment.

Those are only a few of the possibilities listed in the Gifts of Hope Catalog.

Gifts can be made online or by mail. Checks may be sent to The General Board of Global Ministries, P. O. Box 9068, New York, NY 10087-9068, payable to Advance GCFA with the specific Advance Project stated in the memo line.
