Embracing love and seeking justice

Young United Methodists talk about how we can overcome evil with good. That and more.

United Methodists recognize racism as a sin and seek to eliminate it.

As followers of Christ, we embrace love and affirm all persons as equally valuable in the sight of God and therefore work toward societies in which each person’s value is recognized, maintained, and strengthened.

In this video, kids talk about how best to react to violence in our world. Their solution? Embrace love. The spot was created in conjunction with messaging by the church to counter racism.

United Methodist Communications has created a webpage full of additional stories, resources and tools to teach more about the issue of racism and the ways people of all ages can advocate for the fair treatment of everyone.See more resources at umc.org/EmbraceLove.
