Wesley House at Ferris State University is supporting a pantry to feed hungry college students.
MLive reports out of Big Rapids: “Inspired by a story of a student who could only afford a single Hot-N-Ready pizza each week, one Ferris State University Student, Olivia Johnson, has started a food pantry for students.
The Student Emergency Food Pantry operates with the assistance of Wesley House. Local grocery stores stocked the shelves. Wesley House’s Free Taco Tuesday and Free Thursday dinners also add to the menu.
Says Wesley House Director Rev. Devon Harrell, “This has been one of those Holy Spirit adventures that come along in campus ministry. Young adults are powerful, world-changers. Don’t count them out!” The campaign to end student hunger is #FeedFerris.
