It seems hard to believe that we are on the cusp of the new year. Summer 2023 will be here before we know it!
YOUTH 2023 is a gathering in Daytona Beach, Florida, from July 25 to 28, for United Methodist youth that is four days of discipleship, fun, and fellowship. The event is filled with interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service opportunities, and fellowship time. Adult leaders who bring youth to this event can expect inspiration, support, and chances to authentically experience what it means to be part of the Methodist and Wesleyan family.

How much does it cost? In this helpful blog, Ken Sloane, Director of Stewardship and Generosity at Discipleship Ministries, has put together estimated costs for attendees and some practical ideas for how your church can fund sending youth to YOUTH 2023.
Is there financial help for those attending? Stipends are available for every youth and adult leader attending YOUTH 2023 from one of our Michigan United Methodist churches. The Michigan Conference offers $200 for every youth and $100 for every adult leader for as long as the funds last. Don’t wait to get in on this opportunity for your youth! How can we participate in a mission opportunity during our trip to or from Florida? Join other youth from United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM)—North Central Jurisdiction. Project sites are being identified to host youth and their adult leaders before and after YOUTH 2023. Groups will share in community outreach, housing rehab, and mission tasks as determined by the mission site. All costs for these mission events are covered besides transportation.
