Make a video, send an email or make announcements on Sunday. These ideas make your Annual Conference reporting more creative.
Pastor Jeremy Steele, writing for ResourceUMC, says: “Because of the (sometimes) dry and political nature, leaders may avoid talking with members about Annual Conference. Yet, it’s important in the life of the church and needs to be reported.”
Steele then offers four tips that “will help reporting Annual Conference in a way that conveys importance without prompting yawns.” They include:
- Remember the main things.
- Note compelling naratives during annual conference.
- Share with you learned through the teaching elements.
- Underline the connectional nature of The United Methodist Church.
