Two couples, experienced in outdoor ministries, join the Michigan United Methodist Camping team of directors.
Michigan Area United Methodist Camping is pleased to welcome two couples serving as ministry teams to be site directors for Michigan sites.
“These couples bring wonderful gifts and enthusiasm for the camping ministry and we look forward to welcoming them very soon,” said the Rev. George Ayoub, Executive Director, in announcing the new hires.
Greg & Trisha FarrellTrisha and Greg Farrell come to Michigan from Camp Berea in Hebron, New Hampshire, with an anticipated arrival date of May 19, 2018. They bring combined strengths in program, operations, management, finance and food service. The Farrells have three children.
Greg and Trish are bubbling with ideas on developing programs and the facility to reach more campers and guests at Judson Collins Center near Onsted.
Judson Collins, on beautiful Wamplers Lake, is a year-round facility offer summer family and youth camps, plus retreat facilities for use by churches, groups and organizations.
Dana & Duane HuntDana and Duane Hunt join Michigan camping ministry from Ceta Canyon Camp and Retreat Center in Happy, Texas. They bring their strengths in operations, management, finance, capital campaigns, facilities, and guest services. Their children are grown, and they thoroughly enjoy being grandparents.
Duane and Dana are excited about the potential for ministry for Christ at Lake Michigan Camp. They plan to arrive in Pentwater by May 4, to meet volunteers taking part in the Camp Spring Cleanup.
Lake Michigan Camp, with a half-mile of beachfront on the Great Lake, offers summer youth camps, plus traditional RV/tent/cabin campgrounds and retreat facilities for use by individuals, families, churches, groups and organizations.
