Expand your global awareness and renew your commitment to God’s people at Mission u of the North held at First United Methodist Church, Gaylord, October 19-20, 2015.
The theme is “Learning Together for the Transformation of the World.” Men and women are invited to participate in three studies:
• Spiritual Growth: Created for Happiness–Understanding Your Life in God. Study Leader is the Rev. Beth Librande. Examine the understanding of happiness and how to live the life that God calls us to.
• Geographic Study: Latin America–People and Faith. Study leader is the Rev. Jennifer Rodriguez. An overview of the richness of Latin America and its people.
• Issue Study: The Church and People with Disabilities. Study Leader is the Rev. Dr. Gordon Schleicher. The intent is to promote awareness, inclusion, accessibility and advocacy for people with disabilities — including youth and children.
Cost is $65 (includes 3 meals). Lodging available in area motels.
Limited scholarships of $35.00 each are available for first time attendees. Contact the registrar for details. Dependent care reimbursement is being offered @ $20.00/day – contact the registrar for details. (Includes children and dependent adults.)
