It’s a busy time at the campgrounds around the Michigan Area as a new camping season approaches.
On March 25th, Bishop David and his wife, Julie, were at Wesley Woods Camp along with Michigan Area Camping Board members, staff and many supporters of the ministry. The occasion was the dedication of the new dining facility. Rev. George Ayoub, Executive Director of Camping Ministries, noted: “God has truly blessed camping ministry through the building of this new building. It has been built! It is all paid for! And we look forward to expanding our opportunities to share the love and Gospel of Christ through its use.”
Across the state at Lake Huron Retreat Center, a new Water’s Edge Cottage was opened in February. This is a space where clergy and laity may experience spiritual rest and renewal. The cottage has a full kitchen, living room, bath with tub/shower and two bedrooms. Contact Guest Services Coordinator Heather Marsack to book, 810-327-6272 x 200.
Meanwhile, other camps are hiring summer staff. Click here to find a list of these seasonal opportunities.
