Global Mission Fellows coming to Detroit Conference

Two more Global Mission Fellows/US-2s will be coming to the Detroit Conference in the summer of 2015.   Chelsea Williams will serve as the Bag Lunch Coordinator at the NOAH Project. She will join Global Mission Fellows Chelsea Spyres at the NOAH Project. Chelsea came to that ministry last August.   Kayla Flannery will serve as Volunteer Coordinator with Northwest Detroit Flood Recovery Project.    Chelsea and Kayla will begin their service in August.    In 2014 the Detroit Conference was one of five organizations to pilot the General Board of Global Ministries  new Global Mission Fellows Affiliate model.   The new model had the goal of placing multiple fellows to serve in the same geographic area and to live in intentional Christian community.   The Rev. Paul Perez, Director of Mission and Justice Engagement & Leadership Recruitment for the Detroit Conference currently serve as Affiliate Coordinator.
