Sharp strategies for meetings

Meetings should be holy ground where the Spirit can act because people are gathered in common purpose.
Ann Michel of the Lewis Center for Church Leadership  says most church leaders see meetings as “an inevitable but regrettable part of church life.” But if we really believe Christ’s promise that “wherever two or three are gathered in my name, I am with you,” shouldn’t our meetings provide opportunities for sacred encounter?

Michel offers seven simple strategies that can help your church meetings be productive venues. These are the bullet-points. Click here for full details.

  1. Know your purpose
  2. Create a game plan
  3. Maximize participation
  4. Keep reasonable time limits
  5. Allow space for the Spirit to work
  6. Drive decisions
  7. Monitor follow through
