Wyoming Park UMC seeking Worship Leader
The Worship Leader will work closely with our pastor in cultivating worship services and worship teams that help lead our congregation into the experience of witnessing God through Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. Fostering dynamic congregational worship, singing the best of the cherished familiar hymns and the best of the new contemporary Christian music, is a key priority for our church.
Some responsibilities include:
Planning our weekly Sunday 9:15 a.m worship service, choosing congregational hymns and songs that engage the congregation and support the reading and preaching of God’s Word in coordination with the pastor, and leading, with the pastor, the worship design team in creative planning of all worship services. Applicants should be familiar with United Methodist theology and be comfortable worshiping within it.
This position is ten hours per week.
