A major Christian music event is coming to Mason County Sunday, July 30, 2017 at 7:00 pm.
Christian artist Paul Baloche will lead worship at Ludington’s Waterfront Park. There will be no charge for this event open to the public. Also performing on July 30 will be winners of a Christian song writing competition conducted by Integrity Music, the number one worship song producer and publisher in the U.S.
The Christian song writing competition will be conducted online and evaluated by the Integrity Music staff. Both youth and adults are invited to submitted songs. The best youth submissions will receive a scholarship to the Song-Writers Workshop. Song submissions should be sent to the www.waterfrontworship.com.
The top 25 selected song writers will be invited to participate in a two-day Song-Writers Workshop led by Paul Baloche and Integrity Music. The workshop will be held at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts on Thursday and Friday, May 4-5, 2017. The workshop will include seminars, teaching sessions and will end with a competition among the song-writers. Winners of that competition will receive a production contract with Integrity Music and will participate in the concert on July 30.
A grant from Grand Traverse District Leadership and contributions from pastors and Christian business leaders help make this event possible.
Volunteers are sought for both the workshop event and the worship event. Those willing to help should email Pastor Jack Conklin, Scottville UMC, at [email protected].
Donations to Waterfront Worship may be made by check payable to “HELP Ministries,” 910 E. Tinkham, Ludington, MI 49431; list “Waterfront Worship” in the memo line. All donations are tax deductible.
