Vickie Joy Wojewski

Vickie Joy Wojewski

We extend our condolences to the family and friends of Vickie Joy Wojewski, age 59, who died on February 1, 2019. Vickie is the spouse of local pastor, Rev. Donald Wojewski of Caseville United Methodist Church.  Vickie Joy Paxton was born May 24, 1959 in Mt. Clemens, MI. She is the daughter of the late William M. and the late Doris Paxton. Vickie was a Class of 1977 graduate of the Brablec High School in Roseville, MI. She was very involved in her high school band. She studied graphic arts at South Macomb Community College. Vickie married Donald Louis Wojewski on November 26, 1982 in Roseville, Michigan. Vickie was employed by General Motors and Ford Motors as a Technical Illustrator.

Vickie and Don had lived in the Imlay City and Almont area for 20+ years before the ministry began taking them to different parts of Michigan.   She was an active part of husband Don’s ministry.  Music was a very important part of her life; playing the flute and saxophone during many church worship services.   She also used her graphic art talents as a secretary for the churches to which she and Don were assigned.

She is survived by her husband: Donald Wojewski; her two daughters: Felice Kurzer of Bay City, MI and Julie Wojewski of Grand Rapids, MI; a sister: Laurie Thompson of New Baltimore, MI; a brother: William Paxton of Roseville, MI. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins.   Vickie was preceded in death by her son-in-law: Benjamin Kurzer; and her parents: William and Doris Paxton.

Visitation and funeral services were held earlier this month at Imlay City United Methodist Church.  Officiating was Pastor Marcel Lamb and Pastor Kevin Harbin.
