Susan D. Wolfe

March 16, 1948 – March 16, 2024

Susan Diane Wolfe (Taylor) of Jackson MI, was born on March 16, 1948 and met her savior on her birthday, at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, the Reverend Gregory R Wolfe. Sue is survived by her children, David (Christina) Wolfe of Westfield IN; Patrick, Kyle. Aimee (Steve) Reasoner, of Kalamazoo, MI; Katey, Abby, James, Lexie, Isaac. Bethany (Jon) Steele, of Navarre FL.

Sue was born in Battle Creek MI, to Joseph and Marilyn N Taylor. She graduated from Battle Creek Central in 1966, moving onto Central MI, to earn her BA of Science in Medical Technology. She enjoyed working in close-knit medical communities where her skills as a Med Tech were valued. She was able to use her strengths in various work environments.

Sue was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church, where her husband Greg served as a minister for 35 years in the West MI Conference. Recently, she attended the Jackson Free Methodist Church, where she was involved in supporting their missions and prayer team.

Sue loved being at the lake, riding on the boat and playing games and cards with her grand kids. Sue also enjoyed emailing friends and family, and traveling. Traveling fueled her passion for photography. After a trip to England in 1989, new friends became family and this sparked years of traveling back and forth across the pond, including one in 2022 on her own.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 12, 2024 at 11am at Jackson Free Methodist Church, 2829 Park Dr Jackson, MI. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 10am with a light luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sue’s memory to the following: New Life Zambia c/o Delbert and Sandy Groves, PaPa’s ministries c/o Merlin and Kay Pratt, or Jackson Free Methodist Church Missions, 2829 Park Dr, Jackson MI, 49203
