United Methodists around Michigan are called to pray for the family of James J. McNeil of Belmont, who suffered a fall from a zip-line at Bayshore Camp and Family Ministries on September 24.
According to Mlive’s Saginaw News outlet, the 85-year-old man plunged 25 feet to the ground from a zip-line at the camp and was later pronounced dead at the hospital in Pigeon. The Huron County Sheriff is quoted as saying it was an accident. Investigation of related equipment continues. Mlive story here.
Bay Shore Camp and Family Ministries is located in Sebewaing Township, in Michigan’s Thumb region. Since 1969 Bay Shore has been affiliated with The United Methodist Church. It is independently owned and operated and not administered by the Camping and Retreat Ministries of the Michigan Area.
