Howard “Budd” Newman, 98, died Thursday, April 6, 2017. Budd was born June 28, 1918. He is survived by his wife, Carol. Rev. Carol Newman has served in the following West Michigan appointments: Almena 1995; Lawton St. Paul’s 1995: Kalamazoo Northwest 1996; currently at Bloomingdale UMC.
Budd honorably served his country as a member of the US Air Force serving during WWII. He owned and operated Newman’s Airport and Newman’s Welding.
There was a Masonic Service on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the Gobles Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home. Funeral services were on Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Gobles United Methodist Church. Interment followed with military honors in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Bloomingdale, Almena or Gobles United Methodist Churches or Wings of Hope Hospice.
