NCJ Young People July 5-8, 2017

The Sower Society wants your innovative ideas for discipleship and evangelism.

A gathering of the “Sower Society,” sponsored by the North Central Jurisdictional Young People, is scheduled in Detroit, Michigan July 5-8, 2017.

The NCJ Young People’s Sower Society is a biennial gathering serving as an in-person ministry incubator for groups of young people to pitch and workshop innovative discipleship, mission and evangelism ideas. It  provides an opportunity for NCJ Young People to discern which new idea they will claim as their annual whole-jurisdiction ministry focus. Grant awards of $5,000, $1000 and $500 will be given out at the end of the event according to the discernment and feedback of the gathered participants.

To be considered for participation in the Sower Society event, visit the Project Submission page and submit your youth or young adult ministries most innovative idea for discipleship, mission or evangelism. A number of projects will be chosen to incubate at the event. Those submitting the chosen projects will be asked to send a representative to Detroit to participate in the incubation process.

At the July gathering young people engage in networking, best practice sharing, listening to speakers that build them up as amovement together for Jesus Christ. The focus project will be adopted, funded and launched as a NCJurisdiction-wide young people’s initiative. Young leaders are inspired and supported to replicate and remix these ideas back in their home conferences, districts, churches, campuses and more.
