The General Board of Global Ministries is sponsoring a series of regional workshops with a focus on how to start, grow and sustain authentic, transformational ministries with the poor. Cass Community Church and Social Services is one of the “cutting edge” ministries selected to host one of these practical, hands-on experiential training events.
The Detroit based workshop, held May 6-7, centers on job creation using community resources and volunteers. The theology of work and the development of self-sustaining jobs will be explored alongside the history of Cass Community Social Services. Training will be held at 11850 Woodrow Wilson, Detroit.
