How to donate to the campaign

For congregations

Local churches can donate electronically or by mail. Churches that wish to send a check should make it payable to Michigan Conference and note “#3066-Gardens of Hope” in the memo line. Mail the check to the Conference lockbox along with your Ministry Shares payments: Michigan Conference Ministry Shares – P.O. Box 72472 – Cleveland, OH 44192-0002.

To give electronically, please use the church online giving store and use Gardens of Hope project number 3066. Congregations needing to set up an account can email Katrena Stokley, [email protected].

For individual donations

Individuals may submit a check to a local UM church. Simply make the check payable to your local church and specify “Gardens of Hope – 3066” in the memo line.

Then it becomes necessary to address the fundamentals of the situation at hand. We are planting “fields of hope” so families can feed themselves for life.

Join us in planting seeds of hope in Haiti! Our campaign aims to transform communities through sustainable agriculture, education, and healthcare initiatives. By supporting this cause, you provide vital resources that empower local farmers, educate children, and enhance healthcare access. This campaign was overwhelmingly approved by our local churches at the 2025 Michigan Annual Conference. This campaign will succeed if every United Methodist Church in Michigan contributes a mere $350.

This campaign supports the Michigan Conference Commitment to the People of Haiti and three important EngageMI partners; Grace Children’s Hospital, HAPI – Haitian Assets for Peace International, and Jeremie Rising—nurturing a “healthy field” for lasting change. This campaign will accept individual donations, yet it is our hope, as a symbol of how United Methodist Churches create greater change around the world by working together, that we hope all congregations make a contribution of $350 or more.
