General Board of Global Ministries Missionaries the Rev. Alex Awad and his wife, Brenda, have served in Israel/Palestine for the past 26 years.
The couple recently returned to the Upper New York Conference – the couple served as peace and justice educators in upstate New York from 1990 to 1991 – to share their experience through the years in Israel/Palestine.
Both teachers from Georgia, the two have dedicated their time to teaching at Bethlehem Bible College – founded by Alex’s brother – in Jerusalem. The college, which also functions as a community center, offers Bible classes and Christian study, and has tour guide and mass media programs.
In this video they share out of their experience in the land where Christianity was born. The Awads express gratitude for the support of congregations across The United Methodist Church, including those in the Detroit Conference.
