Wesley Foundations, Southfield Hope UMC, and God’s Country Cooperative Parish lead in worship videos provided by The Michigan Conference for Holy Week.
In an effort to support local churches during Holy Week, The Michigan Conference has produced a range of resources. These include liturgies, programs for young adults and children, two full worship services, a devotion, and more.
The Maundy Thursday service, Good Friday service, and Post-Easter Sunday devotion are designed to be downloaded and offered through your local church websites, social media channels, or by email. The services can be downloaded and edited to add custom local introductions, closes, pastor messages, and other materials. Churches may also share the links to any of these offerings via social media, website, email, or direct to the conference VIMEO page.
- The 25-minute Maundy Thursday Service was created by four Wesley Foundations in Michigan–CMU, U of M, FSU, and WMU.
- The 60-minute Good Friday Service is led by the Rev. Dr. B. Kevin Smalls; Liturgists: Min. Candy Johnson; Music Director: Jesse Douglas & Southfield Hope Music Ministry i
- The Sunday after Easter devotion by Randy Hildebrandt, Church & Community Worker at God’s Country Cooperative Parish, is 9:47 minutes in length
Also in support of your church’s local observances, the conference is hosting a statewide Holy Week Campaign. “Spend Easter at our House” will run Palm Sunday through Easter Sunday. Targeted Facebook ads in 11 state-wide media markets will guide Michiganders to a conference webpage with details to access your Holy Week services, listed by city. Now is the time to confirm your local church is properly listed. Click here.
