Michigan Area United Methodist Camps invite individuals and families to rest, relax, have fun, or volunteer in August and September.
Michigan Area United Methodist Camping continues to offer opportunities to be outdoors this summer and fall.
R&R Retreats at the Lakeshore — Get some Rest & Relaxation, alone, as a couple, or a family. Your time is your own. Your space is private and clean. Camp staff cook and there’s space indoors and outdoors to eat, play, and relax. Walk the labyrinth, read a book, or take a nap on the beach. Watch the freighters, collect some rocks, enjoy the swings in our gazebo, and have a campfire. New: Sept. 10-12 (Th-Sat). Read more.
Water’s Edge Cottage get-away — An opportunity for personal spiritual renewal for both clergy and laity. The cottage, located in a secluded area on campus, features a kitchen, two bedrooms, and a full bath. A wrap-around deck is a perfect spot to enjoy the lake and cookout on the gas grill. Just to the west of the cottage is a spot for summer campfires, including a two-person swing. A nearby labyrinth offers the opportunity for prayer and contemplation. Read more.
Vacation at the beach — Many families and small groups are enjoying RV, tent and cabin camping this summer as families look to outdoor activities to safely vacation. Lake Michigan has welcomed new and returning campers. Guests are enjoying the new extended platform tents.
