Grace “Elaine” Condon

August 3, 1938 – June 14, 2023

Former Flint District employee, Grace Elaine Condon of Flushing, age 84, died Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Abbey Park of Grand Blanc.

Elaine was born in Ashland, Ohio on August 3, 1938, the daughter of the late Edward and Mildred (Fast) Metcalf. She graduated from Flint Technical High School, Class of 1956. On August 21, 1965, she married Gerald (Jerry) Condon and he preceded her in death on March 28, 2021.

Elaine worked at Westinghouse Credit, The Flushing Presbyterian Church and Oak Park United Methodist Church before becoming the Administrative Assistant to the Flint District of The United Methodist Church from 1988-2008.

She was a former member of Oak Park United Methodist Church and a current member of Court Street United Methodist Church. She is a current member of P.E.O. Sisterhood. Elaine was involved with the United Methodist Women, the Flint District Board of Missions and she volunteered at Crossover Outreach.
 
Elaine loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed crafts, reading, and trips to Mackinaw Island.

Surviving are daughter, Shirley (Timothy J.) Burchett; grandsons, Andrew and Matthew Burchett; nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, David Metcalf and sister, Lenore Calvert.
 
A funeral service was held at Court Street United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeremy Peters officiating. The burial took place in Flint Memorial Park.
