Cynthia K. Kreichbaum

July 23, 1944 – June 28, 2023

Wife of Rev. William T. Kreichbaum, Cynthia Kay Kreichbaum, 78 years, of Adrian, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 in her home.

Born July 23, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio, Cindy was the daughter of the late Thomas P. and Vera Mae (Partin) Crauder. She was a 1962 graduate of Fairmont High School in Kettering, OH. On June 18, 1966, Cindy married her beloved husband the Rev. William T. Kreichbaum in the chapel at the United Theological Seminary in Dayton.

In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, Cindy worked as a medical biller for Counseling Center Partnership in Colorado Springs, CO, her current client was Pat Tuning.

Cindy was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Britton, MI. As a pastor’s wife, Cindy served in many capacities at the churches they served, including choir director and the United Methodist Women. She was a longtime member of the Reading Choral Society in Reading, PA. While her husband was on active duty as a Chaplain in the United States Army, Cindy was very involved in the Officers Wife’s Club. While living in Newport News, VA, she served as the President of the McIntosh Elementary School PTA for many years. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Cindy enjoyed traveling, gardening, knitting, and she was a wonderful seamstress. She was also an incredible baker and donated many tasty treats for the Holiday Camp bake sale during the Christmas in Ida event. Most of all Cindy loved time spent with family.

Cindy is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Bill, three loving children: Andrew T. (Sheila) Kreichbaum of Ida, Matthew T. Kreichbaum and Amy E. Kreichbaum both of Adrian, four cherished grandchildren: Sean (Olivia) Wieczorek, and Amber, Jade and Logan Kreichbaum, two treasured great-grandchildren: Xander Michael Powell and Addalyn Grace Wieczorek, and her sister, Cheryl (Phil) Roser of Clayton, OH.

On Friday, July 7, 2023 she will lie instate beginning at 10:00 am at Grace United Methodist Church, 9250 E. Monroe Rd, Britton, MI, 49229, where funeral services celebrating Cindy’s life will begin at 11:00 am. Rev. Willie Lass, pastor of the church, will officiate. Cremation will follow.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Grace United Methodist Church.

Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, 48161, is assisting Cindy’s family with funeral arrangements.
