United Methodists around Michigan have long been acquainted with PET, the Personal Energy Transport. Missionary Larry Hills, who hales from West Michigan, had a hand in the conception and manufacture of these hand-pedaled tricycles.

Recently the Christian Science Monitor featured the PET that has changed thousands of lives since its development in 1994.
