Rev. Stanley Finkbeiner, age 86, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty (Noffke) Finkbeiner of Grand Rapids.
Rev. Finkbeiner served in the following appointments in the West Michigan Conference: (FL-1970, AM-1978, RA-1996) Hopkins 1970; South Monterey 1970; Kent City: Chapel Hill 1974; Edmore: Faith 1981; Portland 02/16/1987; Grand Rapids: Northlawn 1992; Retired 1996. Stanley also was a veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Army.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 28, 2016, 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Clark Retirement Community, 1551 Franklin St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506, where his memorial service will be conducted Thursday, September 29, 2016, at 3:00 PM, Pastor Kevin Guetschow officiating.
There will also be a time of visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the memorial service at Clark Retirement Community. Burial will take place in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to Clark Retirement Community Benevolent Fund will be appreciated.
