Metropolitan United Methodist Church, located 8000 Woodward Avenue Detroit, Michigan, is searching for a part time, Director of Music to oversee and provide leadership for the music ministry of the church. This individual has some discretion to set their own hours (approximately 20 hours/week year-round) but must be present on Sunday mornings, at Chancel Choir rehearsal (currently Sunday 12:30pm – 2:00pm) and at staff meetings held by the Senior Pastor. Metropolitan is home to the Merton S. Rice Memorial Organ, manufactured by M.P. Möller, Inc., Opus 10641 (1972), with 7,003 pipes and 121 ranks in eight divisions.
