David Dobbs leaving finance post

David Dobbs announces move

The Council on Finance and Administration seeks a Treasurer and Director of Administrative Services upon the resignation of David Dobbs.

February 17, 2020 | LANSING, Michigan — The Michigan Conference Council on Finance and Administration (CFA) today announced that Treasurer and Director of Administrative Services David Dobbs will be stepping down effective April 10, 2020. David informed CFA that he will be moving to Arizona to work with YPTC, a firm specializing in financial management for non-profit organizations.

“We express our deep and sincere appreciation for David and what he has done for the Michigan Conference,” said CFA Chairperson, Brad Bartelmay.  “His faithful commitment helped launch the new Michigan Conference and his impact will be felt for many years to come,” he added.

David first began working with the Detroit Annual Conference in 2011 before becoming Treasurer and Director of Administrative Services in 2019 upon the formation of The Michigan Conference. “In addition to his work in Michigan, David has been an important servant leader in the wider denomination,” said Bishop David Bard.  “We will miss him and the joy he brought to his work.”

CFA has already started a search for a new Treasurer and Administrative Services Director. Their selection will be approved at Annual Conference this May. Details on the search are expected to be shared soon.
