Constance L. Nelson-Synwolt

April 4, 1927 – September 27, 2023

Wife of Rev. Wayne J. Synwolt, Constance Louise Nelson-Synwolt [Cadoret], known by family as “GG”, died peacefully at Bedford Falls Assisted Living facility on September 27, 2023, in Bedford, NH at the age of 96.

Connie is survived by her son Gary T. Nelson (Debra) of Londonderry, NH, granddaughters, Angela C. Fallon (Adam) of Exeter, NH, Marie A. Lockhart (Howard) of Sandown, NH, great grandchildren Ryan and Nora Fallon, Lorelai and Halary Lockhart. She is preceded in death by her husband Royal J. Synwolt of Port St. Lucie, Florida, her son Robert J. Nelson of New York, NY and her first husband John A. Nelson of Saugerties, NY and her parents.

Connie was born April 4th, 1927, to Oscar and Ida Cadoret of Fall River, Massachusetts. Connie graduated from Jesus Mary Academy in 1946. Connie met her first husband, John A. Nelson while they were both working for Montgomery Ward in Kingston, NY. They were married on May 30, 1949. Their first home in Hurley, NY was a converted chicken coop, where they lived while John built their first home on Hurley Heights.

Connie, John, and two sons moved to Saugerties NY in 1962. Connie and John lived in Saugerties until John’s death in 1991. Connie retired from her job at Saugerties Central Schools as secretary in 1994 and moved to Florida, where she met and married Royal Synwolt in 1998. Together they built a new home in Port St. Lucie where they lived until his death in 2022.

Connie was passionate about her Roman Catholic Faith. Connie loved to travel and spend time at the beach. Enjoying her family and friends was also central to her happiness. She was an active and devout member of the Saint Bernadette Catholic Church of Port St. Lucie, Florida. She often volunteered at St Bernadette to support the goals of the parish and served as a Eucharistic minister.

Father Bob Gorski will officiate her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM on October 4, 2023, at St. Jude Parish in Londonderry, NH.
