Did you know that if you’re covered by our conference insurance, you’re eligible for one annual physical each year with no copay? Yearly physicals are a standard benefit with medical insurance because it’s beneficial for them to invest in your regular health check-ups.
At your annual physical, the doctor will check certain common health indicators, including likely blood work. It’s an opportunity to discuss any health issues that have occurred over the past year that you haven’t yet addressed with a doctor. They will also run preventative tests based on your age and family history and give recommendations to prevent common chronic diseases.
Prevention is the point, and the best way to handle our health is to proactively address issues before they become more serious. If it’s been a while since your last physical and you’re unsure what to ask, you can find a list of useful questions to ask during your appointment here.
Be aware that your annual physical is covered without a copay only once per year. To ensure full coverage, make sure your appointment is scheduled on or after the 366th day from your last physical. Of course, you are welcome to see your doctor at any time for the normal office visit copay. Still, it’s especially important to take advantage of this once-a-year opportunity to check in on your health with your primary physician.
If it’s been a year or more since your last visit, please make it a priority to schedule your appointment.
