Huge RX Savings

I’m a true Midwesterner. The clearest proof of this is that if you compliment me on something I have – my clothes, my phone, my car, anything really – I will tell you how much money I saved procuring it. I never pay full price. There is always a coupon, a deal, or a sale.

One of the places we tend not to cut costs is with our own health. It’s not that we don’t want to, it’s that it’s one area of our lives where it is worth paying what we pay to be healthy. Health insurance, doctor appointments and medications tend to be one of the biggest expenses we have. If we can save money, that’s great.

If you are part of our active health insurance group (having coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan) you are also able to save money on prescriptions through CanadaRX. This is an important tool to help save money on maintenance prescriptions. These are the medications you take on a daily basis that you need for health, but that may also carry a heavy cost because you have to take them on an ongoing basis. Sometimes the co-pays on these maintenance medications are very high. This is where CanadaRX comes in. It is a mail order prescription service from Canada that can bring a significant cost savings.

You have to fill one prescription at your local pharmacy, but once you do, you can have your doctor write a maintenance prescription that can be filled by our Canadian partner and mailed to you, often for as low as $10 per prescription.

If you aren’t using this program yet, you may want to start. If you are, you probably tell people how much you’ve saved using the program, just like I love to talk about how I got my new TV at such a great price.

If you’d like to look into participating in CanadaRX, contact Becki Stabbler at 888-303-5255 or [email protected] and she can help you get started. Go on, save some money and don’t forget to tell someone about it! It’s the only truly Midwestern thing to do about it.
