Lay and clergy members of the Michigan Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church will meet for business, fellowship, and worship from May 30 to June 1, 2024, at the Grand Traverse Resort in Acme, MI, near Traverse City.
Annual Conference begins with the opening worship and memorial service on Thursday, May 30, and concludes at 5 pm on Saturday, June 1. The clergy session will be held on Wednesday, May 29.
“Fearless: Embracing a New Future” is the theme, and the keynote speaker is Rev. Ginger Gaines-Cirelli, Senior Pastor of the historic Foundry United Methodist Church in Washington, D.C.
Registration Details
Early registration ends April 30 at 11:59 pm ET. Click here to register. Please note there are no cancellation refunds after May 1, as food and housing orders have been placed. Any cancellation before April 30 will be refunded, less a $50 fee.
Are you paying by check? If so, your check must be received in the Treasurer’s Office by April 25 to validate your registration and secure housing. Make your check payable to “Michigan Conference” and send it to this address: Michigan Conference Center North, Attn: Accounts Receivable, 1161 E. Clark Rd., Suite 212, DeWitt, MI 48820.
Online registration continues from May 1 to May 19, with a $50 late fee, which is not covered for equalization members or retirees. Those who register after the May 19 deadline will not be able to vote in a legislative committee, and meal tickets are not guaranteed.
Limited late registration begins on May 23, with a $50 late fee. Onsite registration at the Grand Traverse Resort in the main lobby opens on Wednesday, May 29, at 9 am and continues daily for the duration of Annual Conference.

Legislation, Budget, and Reports
Clergy and lay members are encouraged to review the voting items posted on the Annual Conference website. Click here to download the legislation. Legislative committees, which will be online, are scheduled for May 21 and 22. They will be held at 7 pm each night. Clergy and lay members will receive their assignments soon via email.
The proposed budget for 2025, which shows a decrease of 8.5% from the previous year, has been posted on the website. Click here to download the proposed 2025 budget.
