Rev. Duane Harris stepped into a Bomber Stock car and drove to victory at an event raising $19,285 for charities.
Seven pastors and seven congregations were on hand in Auburn, Michigan at Tri-City Motor Speedway on July 18 for a popular event that helps raise funds for their chosen charities.
Rev. Duane Harris, pastor of Auburn United Methodist Church on the Saginaw Bay District, would be the one who would take home the 6-foot trophy as the Faster Pastor of the year.
MLive writer Lee Thompson reported, “Duane Harris probably understands better than most that it’s never too late to get back on the proper path when life turns you sideways.”
