Kitchen Manager

Do you love a fast-paced kitchen environment AND making a difference for those who have nowhere to live? Like working with volunteers? Central Church is looking for you. We seek a self-starting Kitchen Manager for 25-27 hours a week. This includes church and community events – especially planning and managing nutritious meal programs for Outreach guests five mornings a week. Position requires creativity in the kitchen, a heart of service, a love of people, and an ability to work under pressure. Successful candidate will have a spirit of inclusivity, and have or be willing to get ServeSafe certification. Come work with us! Outreach Manager

Help people who are unhoused in Traverse City! Central Church has become a hub of nutrition, basic services and resources for those in our community who lack housing and we are looking for a new director for our Outreach programs. Work with our volunteers and Outreach committee to set the mission, create safety and welcome for volunteers and guests alike, help guests navigate the complex local safety net, and work with community partners to change lives. 20 hours, five mornings a week. Successful candidate will be compassionate and have respectful boundaries, will be mission-oriented and inclusive, and comfortable working with people from many backgrounds, including guests, volunteers and donors. $15-20 an hour based on experience.
