First woman bishop

March is Women’s History Month. This gallery of courage, character and commitment includes women with Michigan ties.

Learn of their contribution to their church and to their communities. Three have ties with Michigan: Anna Howard Shaw, Marjorie Swank Matthews and Frances W. Alguire.
